Our organic Merino wool is sourced from a New Zealand company with generations of experience, the yarn is exceptionally soft and perfect for babies. It has been grown and processed in accordance with strict organic guidelines, and there is NO mulesing of the sheep. Merino yarn can hold up to 30% of it's weight in water and still not feel damp, and it is self-extinguishing when set alight, making one of the safest fibres for children's clothing, making them a perfect baby gift.

We handpaint some of the organic merino using acid dyes and white vinegar, we do not use organic dyes as they are not robustly colourfast, and the mordants can be extremely harmful. Therefore our coloured merino can no longer be called organic, however we feel that is is still superior to standard merino yarn. Our natural cream coloured garments are 100% organic.

Organic merino must be handwashed, and it does tend to "pill" (little balls on the fabric where it has worn) this is due to the fact that it has not been chemically treated. The solutions are simple: use a woolwash (Eucalan, Kookaburra) to clean the fabric without having to rinse numerous times, and use a lint shaver (available in department stores) to remove pilling.
